Restylane Lyft

Restylane Lyft Before & Afters

Restylane Lyft is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler used to treat wrinkles, add lift to cheeks, smooth smile lines, and add volume to the backs of hands. Restylane Lyft contains hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, and water. The combination of hyaluronic acid and water forms a gel-like substance that creates a plumping effect, adding volume in the treatment area. Injection with Restylane Lyft helps to temporarily smooth out wrinkles in the treatment area and restore a younger appearance. Clients will need follow-up treatments to maintain these effects.

The addition of lidocaine, an anesthetic, helps to minimize pain during the treatment and also saves time, since the specialist won’t need to wait for a separate pain reliever to take effect before making the injections.

Preparing for Injection

Preparing for Injection

If the client is a good candidate for Restylane Lyft, prior to the treatment they should avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, taking medications that increase the risk of bleeding (such as NSAIDs and blood thinners), and herbs and supplements that increase the risk of bleeding. It’s also important to avoid undergoing any aesthetic procedures, such as chemical peels and exfoliants, prior to Restylane Lyft. Clients should arrive at their provider’s office with clean skin free of lotion and makeup.

What to Expect

The specialist will use a fine-needle syringe to perform each Restylane Lyft injection.
The addition of lidocaine in the filler should eliminate any pain during the injections.
The entire treatment should only take a few minutes — up to 15 minutes depending on the number of injections.
Treatment with additional fillers can extend the procedure up to one hour.
Treatment results should be visible shortly after the treatment. Hyaluronic acid works quickly to add volume, though the full effects may not be seen for a few days.
On average, Restylane Lyft lasts eight to 10 months. Individual results will vary for a number of reasons.
Clients will need follow-up treatments to maintain their desired results.

After Injection

After treatment, clients are free to resume most of their normal activities but should avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours. It’s also important to avoid excessive sun exposure.

Restylane Lyft can cause minor side effects that typically resolve within a few days. Common side effects after treatment include minor pain, itchiness, redness, tenderness, swelling, and bruising. Restylane Lyft is not recommend for individuals who, have a history of bleeding disorders, have inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema and acne, have allergies to lidocaine, or smoke. In rare cases, treatment can cause severe swelling, pigmentation changes, and infection. Clients should call their healthcare provider if they experience any of these symptoms.
